<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
YAY for having time to spend with your friends, and enough money in the bank to buy yourself brunch. This place was um well not what I was expecting basically. I mean look at that table ... okay to be honest, my first thought was toilet floor table but its really cool, unique in a good way. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFnDPMXBgiF0PGEUi0uEwhIbcyTjo6oCL-QXoY9VlwyQv7nyllfXQ_zuSt2qTaqw7cSrGzIsfCXXyU8xyD8adrIgXOyjTPmawTqVOiMI6mzg5OJoKXCKkndGqGDAogsf3hTMkvuaiWKn4/s640/Dirty+Bird.jpg" width="640" /></div>
I ordered a dirty bird (actually the most awkward thing asking the waiter for that) and I had no idea it was a burger. Considering it was one of the more expensive items I did think it'd be a large plate but it was really filling. I've never been so happy about eating that much salad in a burger before so props to them for making me feel happy about eating healthy haha.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="368" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhttj8XBuzDJYjaIXzolo9N8kLsSwTXXvKyLfjuOUwqhSaJcFNr6syTzNg16W0H1sf0hmLOHXG7RKkiOZTr9KG4Iezy1hznF6weHOzR64SvPuzHKfCP-RZp2SQni4zGcz18Iaoh2z5tfb4/s640/Reuben+Brunch.jpg" width="640" /></div>
Yea so obviously this place isn't the most photogenic of places but I can promise you the food is good. The plate was also quite surprising. I noticed someone else got a different plate, even though she ordered the same thing so luck of the draw I guess... I think I like the plate, makes the flatlay more interesting. (not that, that was a successful flatlay at al)<br />

<img border="0" height="486" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEih0AA4wvmKlJvB-DO3FQBBhsBcvJC9qmCRHQxPo2sFa4wp82DC7Vi77J4eTKsd7lCmPhbz-m6G-mti5JpeoRl1_mjmPmH8KIYTdpGJZ_99Ehty64qaeQ_YA6UUwPVyZ2nPR4RUDFgDMJs/s640/%25232+Sunday+Shenanigans.jpg" width="640" /></div>
So after that big-ass disaster that happened last week...? or was it the week before that? I'm back with #2 Sunday Shenanigans. The great thing about mistakes is that you learn from them right; and heres me learning that I can't cook and won't test my fate for the time being.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhSKPpA2U85UbzeE8PusXqs3E1Quf8fLacc4oCaIDJhSag82svMDEup4oskNosgon28YDDnbHfn8ayTiLrJ-ymYwJNH6xEmi0QUcOfWn77eY4ZV_w1mSDZYJOwTdEqPXHlkUwqZjuxW7HI/s640/Strawberry+Milkshake.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I decided to stick to the friendly blender. I mean what could go wrong all you do is chuck everything into a jug and blend. I looked up recipes for strawberry milkshakes just to be safe, and turns out I didn't have half the ingredients I needed (I think that's how all my cooking disasters start). Any who, I didn't want my strawberries to go bad so I decided to wing it. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj01YXrKsLwV8O7UzTpngj9s5rcHX46Wh61-_DxW4NeA8z-7VoEQAqRwogMihNlOb3NkOsYsW13Mj3W5OIZ0f9qHEWkopEQr_EBRXw9q7LS-EURUwm6yKkGHY4AjhuqC6eXM70-mzrhiAk/s640/Strawberry+Shake.jpg" width="640" /></div>
In goes the strawberries, some milk and some ice cream because ... I don't know, why not. The end result? ... Well to be fair, it wasn't undrinkable bad, like the cookies were inedible hard, but this milkshake definitely will not bring all the boys to the yard. Luckily the strawberries were still pretty fresh and were the best part of the milkshake haha.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg92WJPcrXEwHPF1kCwL-yRaE9Ls3rB-gLPCy6gN55PoB-nVWTxr9wh_sGz6BG5PtZV4NGKCoR5hQJy9OgBDScEapn9N3kSGgGFZ86OM0SAnbKLZsvjecXvfUxe5WCr1dXmwfKCri_3Qis/s640/StrawberryShake.jpg" width="640" /></div>
Even though I suck at it, I think I've started to love doing these because its a day to myself, with no expectations from anyone and its actually funny when I screw up; there's no need to be perfect. Every other day of the week I have to be smart and organised enough to do well in uni (which is seriously not working), maintain as many friendships as I can, while being afraid that I'm going to be ignored and eventually forgotten and convince my mum I haven't gone off the rails because I go out twice a week, to maintain those friendships. I'm also out of work which is making me more miserable than I thought it would.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="448" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrLnbU1dWKZzZ6dbLUw5UlUv6YGiEbWrw3kJLoBkG3vHpkAeTytmP5y8C_2R2uIUdum55u0TEA8JkGBTvJJIxWrIbkKO_JCAWrTCt9IrL1duQZGEZC9PqA33tP8jPxAk6IF-mX88HOeLQ/s640/SundayShenans.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
There's just so many things going on and if I'm not physically tired I'm mentally stressed and unhappy. Seriously, but like superwoman says you're here now, you've fought this before and survived, you can do it again! This too shall pass. Haha what a depressing way to end a post.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Hope y'all had an amazing week and quality time to yourselves! </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Today we are at Paramount Coffee Project which I highly suspect is owned by Paramount but can't for the love of me work out why a film production company wants to open a coffee shop ... in Sydney of all places. It's a little bit hidden, but on the walk there we passed so many hipster streets (so many photoshoot locations! if only I had a photographer) it made the exercise totally worth it.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifmEi8M0mVUbBiHYf-Du7QG_aP8jEB0GlZncWU79OOdKXFBjNvyThs_hsCi46UZBRLTkdnpa_cQ9mU2bVPpnE3oAesQbMQ3n-1O-J9nzkloyEgbFvy0JBUCa2HgIpc-8ngmCDW0wKsh3Q/s640/Toasted+marshmellow+ice+cream+and+chocolate+fudge+sauce.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
If you know me, every time I go out I always go straight to dessert. I actually haven't ordered a proper meal with friends in quite a while but hey, when you order things like this, the meal is so filling anyway. This dish totally just brought out the child in me and just made me so giddy and excited. The waffle was a bit soggy by the time I got to it but the toasted marshmallow ice cream. Omg, I can't, I just can't. It was ssoo good! I'm so sad most of it melted into my chocolate fudge sauce. The sauce was pretty sweet too so I ended up struggling a bit at the end. Nevertheless favourite brunch dish I've ever had!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZpsYuwQgwx6ihbTDUmNrZz3OYokSG6Te1aKY_1uSXIjbuUeJiCb2-EMEaJBQhFGUeAkwsMPdz8o1Kxth0Gjq_GAbLmS8ZYpnFPLR1pGpcXeaT78dqH_NALm0v9u4lSZdxy4U0ywtl_c8/s640/White+chocolate+%2526+passionfuit+cheesecake+milkshake.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I have to say I was pretty worried about finishing this after such a sweet filling dish but it wasn't hard at all. The passion fruit cheesecake flavour was so refreshingly light and punchy I finished it pretty quickly. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="338" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgl2kp7J0mVbXZFcl3LTjwPW5XkqxQoMW7zm9wvl2LRhVds_TDJfK_B-RVvCrKPYTKVyfI4JLYADr0FEY6enMgrmGw99NaGyK00WtAg7tvmByNkkFqegL33ZR8nV-orpIkRwK4eG4U6Csg/s640/Green+tea.jpg" width="640" /></div>
All in all most amazing way to start the day! Yes I had that sweet tooth shocker at 10 in the morning for breakfast. Yea I know, I'll be at the gym for the next week and probably need to book an appointment with my dentist, who will probably tell me I'm beyond help.Unknownnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3121687643097085541.post-84829511901455681672015-09-17T21:07:00.000+10:002015-09-17T21:07:00.053+10:00TonyMoly Nail Polish Thoughts<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgH3wY0s7s_u3k21RpPxe6FpY8xfdxJV1VaZYhZJyJOkJlEXO3oCT14dE89C0o9uhM26ExhZrV9LmazwDLjmSC1Ld_I_hj95z1WgAmKRYMT9J8YfRaqH4iysowkKRsMlscWC-e8_1LyDg/s640/Tony+Moly.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Can you believe its Spring! Where has this year gone!? A long long time ago (beginning of this year) you might remember I went to Korea and bought so many things at MyeongDong and this was one of them. I actually bought a pink one as well which I might post but I think it was way too fluro for me and I don't really plan on wearing it again. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjlv0OHLYln0R6dKXLZPc9CKgMWZlTFxFyvUQPBlEJL2oT-KOiDn8pVjUwV887q0K5h7AiGyB3GLavv44WBqXnRPg8s9sawc7aGw-FmttCHSklTw3_ditzf2qHjZQ9e5OG9PbEAFUmoLoQ/s1600/Tony+Moly+Nail+Polish.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjlv0OHLYln0R6dKXLZPc9CKgMWZlTFxFyvUQPBlEJL2oT-KOiDn8pVjUwV887q0K5h7AiGyB3GLavv44WBqXnRPg8s9sawc7aGw-FmttCHSklTw3_ditzf2qHjZQ9e5OG9PbEAFUmoLoQ/s640/Tony+Moly+Nail+Polish.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Anyway, me and this nail polish have not bonded well at all. Applying it is totally fine. I mean it is a little shear so it takes a few coats but drying! Waiting for the nail polish to dry takes <i>FOREVER. </i>Anything less than 5 mins means you'll ruin your mani for sure. Even now there are dents in my nail polish I can't explain but I'm 100% sure they weren't there last night.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsOsv40-LdA_5a_F0i1TqWLHjezb_2yFZaTqoLiVah2WZ4RjI_uovS9MQG9fjkt5Wu1bSp4xp8LWu67fdRvQuQHHjurDuqppx8aG5uMBqAlHBK09mQjlA3_jySpS7rhsL4i7cjf1oYrgc/s640/Tony+Moly+nails+-+purple.jpg" width="640" /></div>
I like the colour though so I've given this one so many chances. This time I used 3 coats to get this shade. (The lighting is a bit bright so in reality it's a tad darker than that) I feel like with every coat it gets easier, like it dries a bit faster and and the polish sits nicer. Do you ever have that situation where the nail polish is a bit runny so it just sits in a blob in the middle of your nail and the sides are left light as ever ... yea that ... you have no idea what I just said do you haha er hem...<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjlbLG4KN4jfvDlwoBvi7Hi1-LqXGdCPuY3X3uQwH1RMGl4_8-12SYuOzIk0LOPwbJqAMAspNdTp9dLKsTJTqKO9rYWZxTpecv95UbKMj4OHKd7RCbA7KyjYnoltArl8KPyRCh9HX9D-q0/s640/Tony+Moly+nails.jpg" width="640" /></div>
MOVING ON ... also it chips in the wierdest ways. Normally every day wear chips away a bit of your nail polish at a time right? but no; This one <i>pieces</i> fly off. I don't know if its the chemicals or whatever in the nail polish solution but you can actually <i>peel </i>the whole layer of nail polish off. It's so weird. So it means that big chunks just break off ... pretty quickly actually.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHzWkocCrEtebr3HOi0YEZ7s0t5gXgp3PhFXs10zIDCu1_7OlQVgCrH79h0HAdFug8C5vkaxIBC8shpkO8-0CC7iS0nGmh5jhZDQNlTIzvSmUnmNyXzwdFRMyIcVjCrv8jstIKf6wqVj0/s640/TonyMoly.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The good news though: (this is my first time using 3 coats with this one) it seems to be better. The polish has lasted a little less than 2 days without any major bits coming off and there's not as many dents and scratches compared to when I used 2 coats so maybe that's the trick.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitHSnxo8jWcEF4GF_YUzbnyz8PkVLQn3gtbgxyuriEIc1AjSl7J92mWlHd82oDUP6B9qxXQDoGID4V_1XYYftuObSYUYy2lQrEqM579YpQHMp0QKayCkFwK7_2pjV7KGUjZgx2mDH4VdE/s640/TonyMoly+Nails.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Anyhow since this was $2 I don't mind too much, but it's too much of a hassle, so I probably won't be bothered buying it again. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiM076z8oZpH3u0RrfsewnQgFgBJ9MLty9UPVEocj5wVQ5Dpg08t86aF0e3yzSIhXsgX9ySFbau8vPL6s_hjr7I3VNteRPSTYwrzbRGlE_riNWuAnyDooWImnrC_6JFwAZgK4bxh27L3qo/s640/Cookie+Fail.jpg" width="640" /></div>
I love cookies! so much. Especially Subway ones omg (holla to all the Aussie college kids living off $1 cookies from Subway) so on a boring Sunday with nothing to do ... actually the wind festival was on and I missed it #sodevastated and trying to eat away my sorrows I decided to make cookies. I actually bought the all the ingredients for Father's Day but ya know ... lazy me bailed again.</div>
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="444" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXp8mf9b6P5LKboadHkEeF2-P4i4r92s2n5ldADB345I3rvo2Zp5Gb7x7pNYRZbeR6plAotpfzPe6XDyLwzB6_LZoDVkdMOt9qdwFfylbumfLloKerLPcAHOzF6av7XWa3uNz1HlgmKls/s640/Cookie+dough+in+making.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
But I've decided no. Life is short I should do something with my Sundays so I'm thinking of starting a Sunday Shenanigans series and just posting what I did on my Sunday ... but um after this I'm not sure it's gonna be a permanent thing anymore haha. So anyway I was following the recipe and all was well.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
We had a little bit of an issue mixing the dough. Like if its arm day you should just make cookies. It's so thick and heavy it took some serious muscle to mix it. My sis and I had to take turns churning it. We almost broke the mixer cause we gave up using man power. But still we didn't let this get us down. We kept working on it. Everytime we tasted it though it was really grainy and sugary. APPARENTLY okay what's wrong is that we didn't cream the butter and sugar together well enough so make sure when you blend it together it's already smooth at this stage. #Jaqstips (not sure if you should be taking tips from me actually)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7GaZTR79L2MfwJRL1TcLzMeKmUP22CVlW8sS8vAQbeUgsQ8m1DY03Pgf-Mpu-oK4lBslmyVdNdhLrJ_aB_apLZ0Hrb1dUR1R8s_QmZlHAuVtKn-R6rgKyDNF0rZiB44XRTkjOB1fjq_Q/s640/Cookie+blobs.jpg" width="640" /></div>
Eventually we gave up mixing and just made the cookie dough blobs, ready to go into the oven. I wanted to make smore cookies, so what that entailed was taking the cookie out half way and quickly pushing marshmallows in and then cooking the cookie the rest of the way through. So far so good right?<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZqO_I2I3vv7F3r5ht28x4A087d4y9b68621-1aKXqpbd1kbK_Rh31pWwjAdJHSvvPRd3hZUWhT0Mb7fiWwHuNX-E6oiN4Ofp8C8Z176l5csu4uqv-rnpZANOgL5OtqT9hmK3rqBtsqU0/s640/Cookiefail.jpg" width="640" /></div>
Wrong! Jokes I'm kidding, it honestly was pretty good until I melted all the marshmallows haha. The bubble creamy caramel looking bits are the remnants of marshmallow I put in. RIP. A moment of silence please.... It came out too sweet as well since the marshmallows completely melted into the cookie<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjF5WKcmz8WD1zlXSbq2Ee4vRGPz1oA8OA7_UIuieS8x5RPHyosulB1Zn_p5XgR46TgF2MxNhvDL9gEtBD1yHIFvdVGNgDgTWG353hIaLUULHOh3wcvjvb5JfnXDhXnbe4gLgtHuuyXLjM/s640/The+Cookies.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I reckon it would've turned out nice if I didn't put marshmallows in or didn't melt them. But thumbs up for not blowing anything up YAY! or burning anything (including the house) haha. It was pretty fun though so I'm actually thinking of making Sunday Shenanigans a thing, depending on whether you guys like this kind of thing.</div>

Before uni got hectic and no one had time for anything, a friend and I decided to do brunch on Wednesdays and we hit up this cute little spot so conveniently located right next to the station. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The cafe is most famous for the coffee tailoring. You can honestly customise anything in your coffee and change the aroma, acidity, sweetness, body and after taste (... if I remembered correctly) BUT seeing as though I hate the taste of coffee, yes you heard right (I can see the horror on some people's faces already) I didn't try any. I think I'm just too immature for coffee. It's just too bitter.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The insides of the place are so nice right! Especially if you go in at around 3 in the Winter and the sun is directly shining in, it's so gorgeous. Love the copper everywhere and the industrial feel, but the lights were my favourite.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="442" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi172zKW4VNP0g47k9LQMyUBLO6dZOogLekyNyGcMCm981U5kmwLme95-Iz_l8IZ0-JoJf62Mjwf2HYnyElYqj6n8aFZqwbhbowSG7fj5pRVJrLm1QoAldSRB4jOEXTNtXfFY1yudI6whU/s640/Porkbelly+Kimcheese+Burger.jpg" width="640" /></div>
So this is the Pork belly Kimcheese burger. It is so massive. You definitely cannot eat it like a burger which is fine since every time I eat a burger, everything falls out the other end anyway. It's super super filling, like this isn't even brunch material, this counts as lunch. We also had so much free food at uni so this one took a while to digest.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<img border="0" height="436" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjim9vDPbKABEW_5qbwCXea3aHL1apMOYgyruaYw3jYrbLrh15q3V-epsyuqxCHCn5BKQZQEkXkn2QIxE6pYoRdmz3asDmBKTvUVBVADkkHjtK5seUGcTzbO6AHKzBpghW_0nr0S3IMLhI/s640/Raspberry+Bread.jpg" width="640" /><br />
<div>
I had the raspberry bread and caramelised apple. The bread and the apples were perfect for my sweet tooth but for some reason the whole dish together was really sour for me. I kept trying to pinpoint where the sourness was coming from to tone it down but I wasn't really sure. Might even be the yogurt that was sour but the icing sugar reduces it a bit. Either way definitely coming back for that kimchee burger!<br />

Ah the colour run. Running 4k, while getting coloured powder thrown at you left, right and center (sometimes in your mouth and maybe your eyes) all for the sake of charity. But you know me I would probably never run 4k so instead I chose to volunteer :D </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZyYlWKALwtiZ-YPlwSwO25p3nF6n3X6fGNrzEX9awwYP37MTdHeAfBHguRKQ3OxD0yoqh4typCjY_1RUPRojNG2c5A1WLSm_lgBjoSpuwbYGhuo0-EvVUJiyPWCZku07L5xgaFG0PX6s/s640/We+Shine.jpg" width="640" /></div>
This year they added in a new zone: the Shine zone; hence this years theme 'We Shine'. Instead of a colour zone like purple, yellow or blue we were supposed to be a glitter zone. Basically the colour was a metallic silver, like the unicorn blood in Harry Potter. Unfortunately the glitter could only be seen in sunlight like Edward Cullen and it'd already been raining for most of the day. For some miraculous reason it stopped raining for majority of the run which was great because we had no intentions of chucking gooey blobs at people.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNjTZBjGchUu54iSbM_hLij_B2srWeVCx_gLQp7Q79fgZDQbIL5TnuOmSLF5-l9V7RLkwji4tHrq6XaE5QjdRmoDnCGmmDL8Zw04KFlRK1Ticc0-VULAmDZUqJ85C6WhZ7xuyr7qLxQ8w/s640/Happiest+4k.jpg" width="640" /></div>
Our colour powder was so light it got messy real fast. It was in our face, in our eyes, in our ears. Basically at the end of the day I had silver snot. If you think it sounds cool, wait till it comes out of your nose. We were told to squirt below nipple level but with that powder it very quickly went into people's faces and even stayed in the air for very long. I mean look:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgrohTan0QisUuH4f-EvSNxSZK3E1Jv6Q9EfJgUApAwEdSXTBOFftbbD7kXUvONKKIzczCck3H5kd8Jx016SKsCGlT2twxS4k55zWedjbDDO-HZ_Lb0dQX1nyCn58iR2Qq2bJd69zOXFw/s640/Shine+Zone.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I was taking a break from squirting to you know, breathe and decided to take some photos while I wasn't in the thick of it.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9pJodBHMpCltYGoSwbKxjFM3tnvSmKmQGHFtLsFDA2SM_LOqSLjA_AygXwBsi1gq-KS2W6En_sIVrLbqX4smLBZZEBxTEpEHYjGeVg1QAiqYKJdvDHpxu8S0uV6EM7nK-OGCnO5fwRQI/s640/Poweder+Central.jpg" width="640" /></div>
2 Seconds later the powder just fills the air. To be honest it was really bad, at one point I was scared my eyes turned silver but I had SSOOO much fun. The people running through were so energetic and excited and I really loved colouring people's hair silver. There were all these adorable kids running through and so many families.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhEPpa0vv_lUNrThdY67DOpCkRxALeyCxTjkW0VxxFiH2RPFeAiDWiOJikSSFMOr7L8SeQPKiL9Smgzy2jL29VY4AIZcMsFePT-eeI3XgZu57LUeFoWM4_0TLKdWdSEpkZR9ZkiwMvwA2M/s640/White+Christmas.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This one little girl started crying because it was in her face and she said it was in her eyes, and another volunteer, trying to cheer her up pointed at me and said "look at her". She was so horrified at my tin man looking face, her eyes widened and she stepped back. I know being batshit scary is not something to be proud of but I laughed so hard. I think seeing my human-ness cheered her up because I gave her some powder and she tried to get her mum? and aunt? and they were running around in circles, it was so cute. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiRYJCslgvnlt0a0xj5vAYsZ_U7z2DvFVlznvyN_fA9Lb7hE93RX65ydU1_vE7EQWzhwYPT4D7Hyn-n55yYRIilX3lBX5-6lT_n4Mn8Doqqq3Qu0bQZQ6eFvqNfusRP53c5sONrjYq6TuQ/s640/Tin+men+clean+up.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<center style="text-align: left;">
The next time though I'll probably run it. I don't think I can survive inhaling powder through all the holes in my face for 3 hours again. Here's a photo of us tin men cleaning up. That person at the end, yea she's a tin man #tinforthewin</center>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
A few days ago, to celebrate my friend's birthday we went out to a Japenese restaurant: Wagaya. To be honest this place was slightly to pricey for me (especially considering I bought a new bag and some tickets to a party) but it was good food with cool people.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I sort of maybe took this picture of my friend's Nigiwai Course while she left her food <i>unattended</i>! Who one earth leaves their food unattended, especially while I'm around. It comes with a lot of other stuff. I think I saw sushi, sashimi, and green beans.<img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4kJ0BbPBLAmt-OVMeAwg7D79we0Jwk4qq1b6rT_kxgJR0zzmOVpsl5stm0fRcpZcGwOgWNxVNwyubrn0VZIneE2uUmKv1U1AvFmW13uHhY04nkCTHQKGFvTPj-iH9CRzFWMNZ9LzOoes/s640/Seared+Salmon+Sushi.jpg" width="640" /></div>
Oh I should warn you now the lighting was absolutely terrible, there was like one light bulb in the whole room. We ended up resorting to turning on flash on someone's phone while we snapped pictures. The effect is kinda not great but at least you can see the food. :)<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="390" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmeG29F1u2ZzubspAcwCaEHS5rlcHcsWu0PzaEsH_2ZD_TYcTD9zYUkMKGUxXdmpWQJPCiva_ebmIpc0p5029rSYya0mKvCHDlBH6Z6ExUkMugNGI7uGmEpw19NzmW0qODaPobusoZDvM/s640/Potato+and+Pumpkin+Gratin.jpg" width="640" /></div>
Ahh, the humble pumpkin and potato gratin. I had my reservations about this one, I mean how can potatoes be worth so much but it was so cheesy and perfectly salted. The pumpkin was so sweet we ended ordering it again.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="450" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiboccNYHLytzu67Sg6a0fFauKteK1A9w95TQbRV3IuTdibJUMRLhKea123mb22xzmv8IfL8obYlo5OKf68fRmwzXwkTlAQBHPgDXJvr3yHPU-zLFDZ8yHy9m0F947WuXE3zZzOEtGJSvc/s640/Wagaya+Parfait.jpg" width="640" /></div>
This is seriously the reason I eat dessert for breakfast, lunch and tea. It was so delicious and I don't know if I was actually full after this or I was just so satisfied with the taste but it was totally filling. The red bean (we didn't realise was on the other side) was beautifully sweet and went great with the cream and ice cream. You can't really go wrong with cereal flakes and strawberry sauce but at the bottom was strawberry cheesecake! Perfect way to make sure the ice cream at the bottom still has flavour.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="368" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgapVGyhZG2t3ofz4FPSa4hnWpPjSp1jq1UG2iJRj8lb5EnjdxaxbHT35dPijbn0KzB5IKAODEfwwgn2Ih5Ria4PCdo8ZIaO-BJ4-mKIzzVub_UrQvNuXK26w1Lj9CWNdibu96Rd0c5WSo/s640/Drinks.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<center style="text-align: left;">
Made a mistake with this one. I for some reason always order bad things, as in it's not worth its value, doesn't taste great or isn't what I thought it would be and the same thing happened again that night. I ordered a sweet lychee drink and it ended up tasting like raspberry medication. The blue lemonade was a really nice candy kind of sweet though and the Malibu orange (I think its called, can't remember) had a strong cocnutty flavour; which I don't enjoy (I kind of hate coconuts) but I heard it was good. So I think I'll leave ordering to other people next time haha.</center>

<center style="text-align: left;">
I've never been one to eat locally because there really aren't too many good places to eat out near me but lately a lot of small cafes have been making big breaks in my area. Annnddd I'm seriously excited to share the photos from this one! (If anyone has tips in night photography please for the love of all things good tell me)</center>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Okay so the special thing about this place is that it's only a pop up restaurant that opens on Fridays, every other day its The Spot Cafe, which serves more regular brunch/cafe-y type food. I've yet to taste their food but I'll definitely come back for brunch. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="412" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFBmCzwCp2izhyiyGdQLzwor50WAXvIm0BiR4YTENBkuyOdcM6MZ1ymyt4WJyFQC6Cj6gncKOdk7q68eyVOt_I6QVeOzVjgNph5DSr0LqET7VrS0Vd5r33BvuCmnaGWZOrLlUCxHRlNY0/s640/Love+Me+Tender.jpg" width="640" /></div>
This is the love me tender burger and damn was that a good burger. The chicken was so crunchy but juicy on the inside and the bacon YYUMM.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="414" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjhlLcRCPty9G6HiGHZ3b9AqwPXVnGrNx6rC8YSArESVOQBAcIRYj3TmB_BFRhMrwm4JJCJokD3sQm2mWEMHtvJazT5HybVgo_YA66vV-lo1oasXYvECZMbCa3ydoqWNnuQzlBUVw7m2Aw/s640/Pink+Cow.jpg" width="640" /></div>
The PINK COW! Another thing I love about this place is the creative names of all their meals. So obviously the pink cow is just a milkshake and they have a lot of other coloured cows too. I may or may not be guilty of ordering it just because I wanted to say pink cow but hey it was so worth it! Look at all the lollies on there, unfortunately a snake fell off in the waitresses' rush to get it to me. I was pretty devastated but the super bubbly frothy milk made up for it.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQGdfqHpVU_eQkhgEnIkiI3_beHCM5e-9hMi-esWSP-CVfFsDIdNnHj16TZaU_YD06t__ZjTvHDxS2_LWYiIKXFBCCZxAkhh1hzwL9GNEJdq8n2Cb9EK0lj6E6brL29REn8NqRHbc3lSQ/s640/Banana+Split.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The banana split. In case you're wondering what the green thing is on then end; it's lime. My sister felt the need to try something new and "<i>crazy</i>". The ice cream felt a little not set but the hundreds and thousands were a pleasant surprise.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="380" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgs_Tij39g05fV2nuTPQcT2xWol_bdz0HJ2mgjjnNRgtoj5CvtCQZsHe6hiEtCAT4Rn4oXOSqCdMuThBjQhbwSWtZngcANtRPHgK6DqDCa1_E9Gcds238UjQlpCS01WLgOaCVasOit3Okw/s640/Miss+Americas+Diner.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<center style="text-align: left;">
Unfortunately on the night I went, I'm not sure if they were under staffed or they normally run the place like that but service was quite slow. BUT BUT the waitresses were so so nice and lovely. You could tell they were doing the best they could and overall the food was superb so all in all great night!</center>

Annndd the beach madness continues! To be fair though when I went it was the only <span style="font-family: inherit;">20<span style="background-color: white; line-height: 18.2000007629395px;">ยฐC</span></span> day we've had in a long while. So here's 5 things to do at Bondi and pretend that Winter is over.</center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
</center>
<h4>
<center style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-weight: bold;">1. Check Out the Street Art</span></center>
</h4>
<center style="text-align: left;">
<img border="0" height="362" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhF7VJlLhOe5VMqVztKbMkyATXKYTiaEA9ERWyS8NNKmpDsMfGS_YR0N2pmrvrgEkj6Xr5_83wh5xbqP7OlehDNN5y_97KyYcEfWryEzy42q771ZKxICQnom5Na9PwOBvZeTEtr64-T_YI/s640/Wish+you+were+here.jpg" style="font-weight: bold; text-align: center;" width="640" /></center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
<img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghAmCM9OnM_DYOJCDUMDSrYkA4zQ3H_VwJk1rRUgd4IwuExTG67yiI0e1bahwEcrfCgEIFjGVRzRZTG-tDHRcoXch-BpA0TAlgqY0IidBkE6t5syVvvTXyrZAzfyjgn51wp-wYVwaFacI/s640/What+lifts+you+art+at+Bondi.jpg" style="font-weight: bold; text-align: center;" width="640" /></center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
Up along the boardwalk of Bondi, just below the car park is a wall filled with art graffiti. You've probably seen the three shady pugs already (get it get it? Cause they all wear shades). ANYWAY these 2 are brand new ones I've found but judging from the wall they've been up for a while. I think what keeps me coming back to Bondi is knowing that the wall is constantly changing and new art goes up all the time!</center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
</center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
</center>
<h4>
<center style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-weight: bold;">2. Take the Bondi to Bronte Coastal Walk</span></center>
</h4>
<center style="text-align: left;">
<img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHXZs6LqGcLWQzmFK2ebrtWVMTukHmBHyzsLSuFble0fbf-yTXBjlcN3DkRTsxOA7np8Kx2intOVusRRwC7GT706PyYgdAM4s6_sPsmlS8agcPoZ3Eym3j0qNK1cA0GWn0XKs8mmUyLvc/s640/Bondi+to+Bronte+view.jpg" width="640" /></center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
<img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIRrnyNNt4zVuflIKxrscu3AzY0SENo9DCkGIUWcnGtYFBmiOqvbh4HWN2ZDRKuMasZzB3yZj_PiFKHCy3hpMPwrEd-T-GBbLbR3vK-ViHzq6tq2Bg9RF17Ujctu8ZwbFVj5VH4GI0ilw/s640/Bondi+to+Bronte+views.jpg" width="640" /></center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
This is seriously the most scenic route. Hate jogging? Despise running? Well it doesn't even feel like exercise because you'll be so distracted by the view, besides there's usually so many tourists taking pictures in the middle of the path, its impossible to run too fast (that's what I tell myself anyway) ... I think I'm in need of a hair cut</center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
</center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
</center>
<h4>
<center style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-weight: bold;">3. Update your Insta with an Icebergs post</span></center>
</h4>
<center style="text-align: left;">
<img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifQtQYGGRz9XjEFtOB1-1Duo-tdR0Qay5pFGZYNZECpUjZ9nIpmd2fJBW6Cz5zWajotDd7HhuHqvJukT43aD_8Ns_HVroBLIiEcT2A8Mdk4xUtnYDpZt2UZEPx8GOzgEqB_xCtw-ojVjw/s640/Ice+Bergs.jpg" width="640" /></center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
This is an absolute cliche but its such a given. With the 50 shades of blue, there's no way you could go wrong taking a shot of this. If you've already posted this photogenic location, there's plenty of other spots along the Bondi to Bronte walk that will give you the picture, everyone else will be jealous of. I think more than anything the best part is just sitting down and watching the ocean. It's so calming, I feel like I'm subconsciously meditating.</center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
</center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
</center>
<h4>
<center style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-weight: bold;">4. Lunch at Lush</span></center>
</h4>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjhLVMWZJhH6xa52pS9YY2AprNcbF2zkFyeS7H85V1812IBU-_XfmOOJOA7f-CMbfDwnvCDkZUKkUASJ_acW7Ll_XfB4W2BkgLXn7CVJ4ooClXHTaNXF1boFYWHqPvJUlILT6PSf9hebqk/s640/Lunch+at+Lush.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<center style="text-align: left;">
So originally I had planned to visit the famous Brown Sugar but stupid me didn't realise famous meant a lot of people go there and as you can guess when we turned up <i>twice </i>it was packed both times. (note to you guys, if you want to try it make sure you book!) Instead we gave Lush on Bondi a go and definitely no regrets. I hadn't eaten breakfast so I could've just been hungry but I love it enough to recommend it to you guys :) You can read more about my lunch sesh at Lush <a href="http://halcyonjar.blogspot.com/2015/08/lush-on-bondi.html" target="_blank">here</a>.</center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
</center>
<h4>
<center style="text-align: center;">
</center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
</center>
<center style="text-align: center;">
</center>
<center style="text-align: center;">
5. Finish with a bang at Ben & Jerry's </center>
</h4>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhU17ciMc9hl4jT54r86txlNR2WXM8WsLMZjbpAWaGyT4gHaeGyF7tcZLvbYwMVTSJN62QlJt-6UVCdOwQsVT9sLGUaRIFJskceycnYNbshwbZJvouFZyxoiX-43wKgVyoecRTUIc6qzc8/s640/Ben+%2526+jerry%2527s.jpg" width="360" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Of course you can't leave Bondi without trying an ice cream or a gelato. When in doubt go with a safe choice: Ben & Jerry's. I tried the cookie dough and the cotton candy. The best part was that there's actually cookie dough in the ice cream, and it was heavenly. As for the cotton candy, 3 words: sweet, sweet happiness.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYbVt26gEMKbGIB_L33bIPkQ787juOUlUS1QMAkkLANXlYSgoC6HMRy5uZfCN785n6y7_SDICUsyxRBzNO0fuckXE_H7uR78lofDytobAp99A2eUwaNsPxKRVd1ISDoKZfUGt2NpDBRhU/s640/Blackstar+Pastry.jpg" width="640" /></div>
Ayyee guess who's late to the party again! That's right after the watermelon cake has been around for <i>ages, </i>rose to fame and even collabed with n2 to make the Cake Smash, I've only now gotten around to trying it. After our little adventure at Brewtown Newtown (<a href="http://halcyonjar.blogspot.com/2015/08/brewtown-newtown.html" target="_blank">check it out</a>)<i>,</i> we weren't quite full an decided to hit up Blackstar Pastry.</center>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTuK1mvb1ujhj1HIm1B9OoUtCGrDHr13J3pUeDaiBLulSsCpI199TET41lZidmX4H0hpE26eSsDauglDyPs0nSnxa6Wcw8N4xChOtkM4rgz1SiiVdwZ8DlEodEmQ8TEsVYUDaKAsrYqzw/s640/Blackstar+Newtown.jpg" width="640" /></div>

<center>
277 Australia St</center>
<center>
Newtown NSW 2042</center>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="356" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBqbHQPHi-BI2nmMJkLxEe6GRCotljFfGoS4vKF1iQ8ZOoPHRHVdDCwoazARvB_yoPjEU_ORi7nMsSjqACPH4xdR-jD2i4XooIfCWYfwKB0XscQOpMvrueZc7jkiuzAZmQuk9d2zjginI/s640/Blackstar+cakes.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I didn't even realise there would be an actual piece of watermelon right in the middle, I thought it was just watermelon flavoured, but there it is right there. It's really nice! There's like 3 layers of crunch and delicious rose cream in the middle to sweeten it up and all the fruit for a refreshing after taste.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivECvSwwLuuPXL-RMW_t-hy9tknjDqOnInbjk1O1gHCs98AC3poazDF5AAU8T-Ve4B1Jh909O_m3WC2A8lGUzIwXkcYg-exC0V0bK7pr6PgN3hYgC38-8H8ofzEQ-SFzmDMp6cTr8ZAFY/s640/Orange+Cake+with+Persian+Fig.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
That small piece of watermelon cake would never be enough to feed 3 people so we bought the Orange Cake with Persian fig as well. The orange wasn't too overpowering but what surprised me most was the fig. I'm no food expert so when I saw that Venus flytrap looking fig I was like uumm... but my friend insisted I try it. I have to say I think that might have been the best part of the cake haha.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Since we were near Newtown we decided hit up a safe choice: Bretwon Newtown. I don't know if this is where the cronut originated but I was not leaving without trying one.</center>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Squid ink linguine, garlic chilli prawns, kale and Parmesan. Lin-gwi-ne, what a fun word to say haha. Anyway because <i>someone </i>couldn't control herself, and ate too much of the linguine I wasn't left with much; but what I got to try tasted chewy (in a really good way) and bouncy? is that how you describe linguine? Even though I don't like kale I didn't mind it <i>too </i>much here.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiajt1Htjpll8ZUvEQO6Cp1w9xs24uUmSrfhjD1ihyphenhyphen5-piSMvNM3-2JzgexdKS51Z4etntUwWBIe508mnZMquyMwKALapiFW43oG7PtD0ky56mRIqikwitWB9bHlDp9xAO1XREyMlgbqgo/s640/Chocolate+Crumble+Cronut.jpg" width="640" /></div>
Ah the all important cronut! Also known as a Brewnut here. We went for the Chocolate Crumble Brewnut, without realising we could chose more from the display cabinet which is a shame. For a first cronut though, it was pretty amazing. The crunch from the pastry already had me in high spirits but the crumble on top was to die for. So yummy! Definitely wanna come back and try more.<br />

<center style="text-align: left;">
The dish in the background: Dukkah roasted Japanese pumpkin, poached chicken, quinoa, feta & broad bean salad, truffle hazelnut dressing. The pumpkin was <i>ssoo </i>good. It was sweet but the skin was so crunchy. And the drink: Egyptian Rose Tea.</center>

<img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjC2HFvvP0dPlU_uDF2IkGsC1Eh90rWFfJqXrrpF33PHvXYju1DYv3Hits1nNmVKGo4br08riIFQIMvM9u0V3Bv4ClkUtos1MQ8xSzTmQnhzNlViQeWu6yZ7Ji0PWQqD300knov-74EbxU/s640/Lush+on+Bondi.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Finding something nice to eat at Bondi is actually incredibly hard for me. I know you're probably thinking I'm crazy but when I'm having such a good time and the scenery is so nice; the pressure is on to find food to match the perfect day I was having. It was so hard I actually did 2 laps of the surrounding area before certain people got fed up with me and told me to sit my butt down at Lush on Bondi simply because we were standing right outside. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-rnLIUrW2AzC1XLSCLKY3N0K4pDaCVrdvZnQsc1rFW7KBHvUNW2O8Bqv-EzUgTaA1HjUp7S4JruJAAptmsGHRLbhAWYmEXTxdZV0Nh1JHm0jGfAHtRnw_IpkvHQfXvPtykyxMMT68IGc/s640/Drinks+-+lush+on+bondi.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It must've been fate though because Lush was the perfect way to fill my stomach on such a perfect day. I feel like it's one of those cafes that don't get advertised a lot or get much recognition but the locals know and love it and I'm so glad we stumbled upon it!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNN-BFUB0B05cqavpT9yIwo5MaAsl56-XogzjnNBlyhyphenhyphenpdgwAbovWgqjGVs1j_7Ql71z6mW0AW09C8s28QHTZSAKLcYmA7P69g1ce91zEcN2parBWQSGxwOpYD0-RetSJdCVpT-nOl074/s640/Fish+%2526+Chips.jpg" width="640" /></div>
The strawberry milkshake was pretty nice, it didn't have that artificial flavouring taste; just super sweet, the way I like it.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It's also literally opposite Bondi beach, so it's not even a trek to get there, unlike more of the well known cafes which are at least a few streets away. They even have massive poncho/snuggie blanket type things to keep you warm in case sitting outside for too long gets to chilly. Now where on earth would you find a cafe so considerate.</div>

There are not very many times where I wake up early, willingly. Okay, there have been 0 times I've woken up early enough to see the sunrise voluntarily, so if I see the sunrise at some point in my life it would definitely be by force. And what better way to do it than through volunteering! ... Okay that came out wrong. Through my uni I signed up to the earliest shift right by the Opera House forcing me to wake up at 5:30 am.</center>

These last few weeks I've been desperately trying to escape the cold chill of Winter, so I headed down to the beach. Okay so it wasn't the most amazing idea; hair was flying everywhere, the water was so cold. Eventually I even decided to hide in a restaurant but what to eat at San Souci? It's a bit of a hole but I decided to give Bay Vista a go and wow it did not disappoint.<span style="text-align: center;"> </span></center>

I don't know why but I found this on the adults only section of the menu? I'm fairly certain it had no alcohol in it, and they didn't ask for ID. No, I did not order it for the alcohol ... maybe ... Shhhh. The passion fruit was a bit sour for me but if you eat it with the meringue its perfect.<br />

Unfortunately the backlog of posts continues, at least I haven't hit writer's block yet but I promise it'll be over soon!</center>

As a lot of you probably already know Vivid, the light show in Sydney was quite a long time ago; but since it was my first time I wanted to show you all my blurry, bad quality night photos haha. Hopefully next year when I go again I'll have an actual camera and my photography will have improved #lifegoals<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I really liked this one! It was like a small igloo but with these mirror shard walls, with some lights reflected across all the walls, so pretty!</div>

This was definitely the highlight. An animation was projected onto Customs House in the CBD and can I just say it look <i>waayy</i> better in person. It had a bit of everything: haunted house, under the sea, little people running around. It was great.</center>

and lastly Richmond Gaol ... well the back of it. If you pay you can have yourself locked up for no reason :) Kidding haha. Well not really. For a small fee you can get the whole prisoner experience without committing a crime and getting a criminal record. The reception area was creepy enough as it is so I stuck to taking photos around the place.<br />

After a few more hours of driving we finally hit Hobart! Being a city girl at heart I could not be more thrilled. Seeing cars and the lovely sight of concrete and buildings and bustling people. Okay so it wasn't bustling ... at all but compared to the country I felt like yelling PPEOPPPLEEE thank goodness.</div>

It was so worth it though! The farm owns 2 sheep dogs and one of them had given birth a little while ago so we got to play with her 5 puppies before they were given to other owners. This one is chocolate. The only one that seemed to like me /sniffle<br />

Just a heads up though, the dogs aren't part of the package. The package we got was $110 per person, which includes lunch, watching the sheep dogs herd the sheep, sheep shearing and a tour of the whole farm. There's beef and lamb of course but I have an allergy to beef and I'm not that into lamb so chicken it is! The lemon water was amazing it was so cleansing but sweet and yummy all at the same time</div>

The farm tour was basically the farmer telling us about different parts of his farm, different types of animal poo and we spotted some wallabies. It wasn't awe inspiring but the view was pretty amazing, especially at the lake.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Before we left the farmer told us to continue on in the direction of the waterfall. Since I'd never seen one in real life I was like Let's Goooo! We crossed a bridge on the way, right in the middle of the most picturesque lake. It almost looked like the salt lake, with the reflection an all, it was beautiful. You have to be careful though because it's just a road and there's really no where to stop. Luckily for us it was a quiet day and there was only 1 car using the bridge with us.<br />

Unfortunately we didn't have time for the waterfall, so close but so far. Maybe next time. But on that note I'm so glad we found this lake to finish on a high note.Unknownnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3121687643097085541.post-81675128648274053882015-07-03T11:35:00.000+10:002015-07-03T11:35:00.041+10:00DIY Tasmania - pt 2<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

So I just discovered I can get to Narnia through my closet and forgot to come back. Haha wow that was terrible but I promise to find some balance between blogging and maintaining a life. (Even though I've proven several times I'm terrible at it). But to make up for it I've revamped the website a bit (more changes to come hopefully) and changed my url :) Hope you like it. Moving on ...<br />

Okay the good part of my trip pretty much starts here. I'm not really one for driving around the country taste testing things. Don't get me wrong free food is my life but not for 3 days and it wasn't nice free food either. So next stop winery. No one goes to Tas without visiting a vineyard and we went to:</center>

There's several ways you can get around within the reserve. There a trails that lead you up to the suspension bridge and more challenging hikes past that or if you're lazy like me you can take the chair lift up and walk maybe 10-15 mins to get to the bridge. </div>

Once you've crossed the bridge there's a few hiking trails which I think were supposed to take you around the reserve but total hiking time was around maybe 2 hours or so and unfortunately we didn't have time so we hiked for about an hour and had to turn around.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
If you ever get lost or not sure which trail is the best just ask anyone you see, especially joggers (there are always joggers), they're the friendliest and most helpful people. Sometimes they just say hi as they're running just for the hell of it. One of them even directed us on the trail (it was embarrassing when he lapped us though)</div>

<br />
<center style="text-align: left;">
Shortly after I got back from Hong Kong I was packing again for a family trip to Tasmania! It was so last minute we basically planned out own tour and did everything ourselves (something I had never done before). The trip was catered more for sight seeing so I did get a <i>little </i>bored but with the right people I had the best summer so here we go!</center>
<center style="text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This was a bit pointless because we couldn't actually go into the farm and have a look at the raspberry themselves. We were restricted to stand behind then fence. Although they do give you a little info about the berries and how they grow them. I'm not sure if this is a year round thing or we just had bad timing. But soak in the lavenders. Ironically they were the prettiest we saw.</div>

Is that seriously not the saddest site you've ever seen. After looking at photos, I was looking forward to this stop but we went at the wrong time of the year. Please please make sure you guys check when to visit otherwise well yea haha. They have a cat though he/she is the friendliest thing you'll ever meet. He/she was so lovely to play with.<br />

Luckily food is a year round thing. The ice cream just tastes like berry ice cream but the pancakes were lovely. If you're looking for something more pungent, try the lavender ice cream; the picture above this one. Actually tastes like plant.<br />

Stayed here on the first night. It's only about $370. It has a beautiful view really far out into horizon. If you wake up early enough in the morning you can see the sheep getting herded across the field. The only downside is that it's in the country so they're are quite a lot of bugs. I had a scorpion in my room and there was a spider in my cousin's. But it really is nice for a motel. </center>

So! This is pretty much the last post for HK. Catch up for HK <span style="background-color: white; color: #545454; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: x-small; line-height: 18.2000007629395px;">โ</span>. On one of the last days we went exploring through Sheung Wan. After being here 7 times I'll admit I never knew about this place and I honestly thought it was new. But! I've been told it's been here for ages so you never know what you'll find here. It was actually quite exciting!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

You have no idea how long it took me to get such a terrible photo haha. I think it was the first time I saw wall art in HK and I tried to snap 3 photos. Only my "<i>lovely</i>" friends wouldn't stop powering through the streets to see everything and I ended up snapping these on the go. So hence the <i>marvelous </i>quality haha.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I really like this place because it's like a little piece of home among all the ... Asian-ness if you know what I mean. There are a lot more European restaurants and I feel like there's a lot of Western people congregated here. The streets also have wall art everywhere so the feel is different. Also, yea at this point I was really missing home.<br />

This was definitely a highlight. Looks like one of those building models in a bookstore but this is a cathedral we walked past. The architecture was stunning.<br />

So that I could be a little boastful when I got home my aunt and uncle took us to the tallest mountain in Hong Kong. </center>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I don't know if you can see it but that's the winding roads we had to walk up to get to the "top"</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEguoygdDozxtaKzFIEstlo6zo78bTI5TiAy59I9vrBwcl8Kigo_ByMFr_PMUckkbbg0mm6P3cq74OUPUAvNT1ue95bkWUPKYmlhZ7DGDdqCUf3Uj3_lMh4eAGMzqHTmIEQ2hspO146wpXk/s1600/P1320661.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Getting to the top is so easy. It just takes a little bit of omph and grunt but as you can see by my clothes you don't need to be prepared or a marathon runner.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhf_f2fdHnx7L7IEgF7brey26UPmPceEllKgf-t_4WIOa2drS8_tcRRfutEOotq7RIIAbgCFXstfz_cAL64-7fbjy3x3QByDkaa-aQDbYi09y37HSetcyRtqtkWrzgHj8j2mXj_btcr0aE/s1600/P1320672.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></div>

<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Unfortunately when we got to the top there wasn't much of a view and the previously white looking soccer ball got quite dirty up close but hey we came for the sunset.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_svOPtDrHwBJjx8s05v6UHpovubh-_BCrRwmYyJn-nmGKzPbC1LAELxk-MZiUnYa05ltAwtL7LWEDzMuiPxahSErhL5n4DWLEO6W6YcyPwHnxelF4bj9AAqMx6nQM_h05f1gkcVz6r0s/s1600/P1320704.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
And here are the photos I got. They weren't great and surprisingly the best pictures didn't come from the top of the mountain. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0dCIeo2OslL7_3bo9igO4vlWpM_efwcSzduYMGUCRv2VE2oqae58aDeah49UM-WYE-EkZhaNn1yFaagyrC0NTPYZCvUnhi7KbCTs_Q36LgR6Zbfx10J7CoQFUW5sdrtA9W32U2S-STi0/s1600/P1320869.JPG" width="640" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
On the way to Hong Kong I was watching this advertisement featuring Ernie Dingo saying that the islands surrounding Hong Kong are their best kept secret and I remember thinking yea right. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The last island I visited was Lantau Island and I thought it was so boring. Being a high maintenance city girl I have a hard time adjusting to rural areas and their ... lack of hygiene and although Tai-O wasn't amazing, I still enjoyed the trip.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjbH6bAvzUX7gas0xBQsckX-JGcCsJK43Qgaie5ssYKHoUW53itUKkJ99txJum_12l_V6xn1cEREkVxZcp0PwBtgDUI6CkEJHK6FswrUPiH_gQaEI6JWS9G2x7m9sc7AdVfRukSX6xJm4U/s1600/P1320873.JPG" width="640" /></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
There's less food and I guess you could say it's less developed compared to Lantau Island but I think Tai-O is more vibrant and that made me love it so much more. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Yes they gut fish right then and there in front of you. Needless to say I rushed straight past after taking a picture. Surprisingly it didn't smell that much ... just not lovely to look at. </div>

I think it's famous for selling fish stomach which is really popular in Hong Kong. Its great for making soup but I'm not really a fan. Obviously most of its products are marine orientated since it's a fishing village. </div>
